Jaap Scheeren
Jaap Scheeren (1979) graduated from the St Joost Academy in Breda and quickly became known for his fun, humorous and even absurd photographic style. Yet, Scheeren is also excels at empathy, such as in the book Oma Toos, a moving, photographic portrait of his grandmother. In the book 3 Roses, 9 Raven, 12 Months however, his images reveal an unmistakable irony. The photographs were inpired by a book of Slovakian fairytales.

Both books by Jaap Scheeren are available in a special edition at Foam Editions. The signed books are accompanied by a signed and numbered print and are sold in a limited edition. Scheeren's portfolio also featured in the Wonder issue of Foam Magazine.
