Johan van der Keuken
One of Johan van der Keuken's (1938 - 2001) most famous photos ia a dance scène on the Ile St. Louis in parijs, photographed during the celebration of 'Quatorze Juillet' in 1958. This photo was first published in the book Paris mortel (1964). In van der Keuken archive there were 32 other negatives from the same place at the same time. These never before published  photographs form the centre of the Johan van der Keuken - Beeldverhalen exhibition at Foam in 2010. The serie shows the forming of the famous image and sheds light on the view and method of van der Keuken's photography.

Quatorze Juillet
The iconic dance scene photograph 'Quatorze Juillet' from 1958 has been published by the makers of the exhibition (Noshka van der Lely and Willem van Zoetendaal) in a special edition of 150. Each archival pigment print is 30 x 41 cm, authorised on a label and available via Foam Editions for € 285.
